Use this SS-31 calculator to convert your stated vial amount and final liquid volume into concentration and U-100 syringe units. Enter an amount to measure from instructions you already have. Vial strength alone cannot determine a suitable diluent, mixing volume, dose or storage time.
Calculate without distractions.

What this reference cannot verify
What this calculator cannot verify
A result labeled SS-31 does not test the identity, purity or amount in a container. It cannot establish compatibility, an appropriate treatment or a storage period. A study or finished-product label does not automatically apply to another formulation sold under a similar name.
Product names follow the partner’s catalog. The scientific references describe compounds and study materials, not proof for a supplier’s product.
What is SS-31?
SS-31 is also called elamipretide. FDA approved a specific medicine called Forzinity in September 2025 for a specific use.
That approval does not check every powder or vial named SS-31. Instructions for the approved medicine do not apply to a different product just because a name is similar.
This category groups references; it does not establish an approved use or a standard preparation.
Illustrative SS-31 concentration math
These inputs demonstrate arithmetic, not a SS-31 mixing recipe or dose table. Product-specific instructions establish appropriate inputs.
| Vial amount | Illustrative final volume | Concentration | Illustrative mass | U-100 units |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 mg | 2 mL | 2.5 mg/mL | 100 mcg | 4 |
| 10 mg | 2 mL | 5 mg/mL | 100 mcg | 2 |
| 50 mg | 2 mL | 25 mg/mL | 100 mcg | 0.4 |
Amounts are illustrative. U-100 conversion assumes a confirmed scale of 100 units per mL. Neither device capacity nor graduation spacing is inferred.
Check the SS-31 calculation
Check the product instructions
Confirm the identity, amount and units on your SS-31 label. A name alone does not establish formulation, purity or suitability for use.
Enter the known volume
Use the liquid volume specified for your product or the actual final volume of an existing solution. A convenient calculator result is not permission to change those instructions.
Check the concentration
Divide the total amount in milligrams by the final volume in milliliters to obtain mg/mL. The calculation assumes the stated amount is fully dissolved in that final volume.
Check the measurement
Convert the amount you entered to milliliters using that concentration. U-100 markings represent 100 units per mL, not milligrams of a compound.
Keep storage instructions separate
Use the product-specific storage and discard instructions. This calculation cannot determine a safe use period or verify sterility.
Storage and shelf life
Product-specific, not calculated
Follow storage and discard instructions for the exact formulation. A compound name or concentration cannot establish stability or sterility. Read the storage distinctions.
