Calculation mistakes to avoid: units, labels and saved results
Most calculator mistakes start with a number in the wrong field or the wrong unit beside it. Check the label first, then check the math.

Keep mg, mcg and mL apart
mg and mcg measure material. mL measures liquid. One mg equals 1,000 mcg. A number in mg cannot be copied into a mcg field unchanged.
Total amount is not concentration
10 mg total and 10 mg/mL mean different things. Concentration is how much is in each mL. For example, 10 mg spread evenly through 2 mL gives 5 mg/mL. This is a math example, not a mixing choice.
Use the final liquid amount
The amount added may differ from the final liquid amount. Use the value required by the exact instructions. The calculator cannot decide which liquid is right.
Start fresh when the product changes
Check the product name, each ingredient and every number. A saved result from another vial may not apply. A blend needs its own label amounts; do not guess each ingredient’s share.
Check the actual scale
U-100 means 100 units equals 1 mL. It does not tell you the smallest printed gap on a device. More decimal places on screen do not add marks to the real scale.
